Holiday Training Schedule

Those who have received the letter to parent informing holiday training schedule (aka those who turned up @ 22nd Oct training) would have known by now - else this is for those absent with valid reasons [or think they are still in the CCA (and attending only when they feel like it? boo)]:

Year End Holiday Training:
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday @ 2 pm

Changes in dates would be convey, the training before - can think of at least 2 -> Next Monday 27th Oct Deepavali! and next Friday 31st Oct session to be postponed to Saturday 1st Nov since 1st Nov is JSS Open House (0830 - 1600 hr).

On a different note...
-> Bridging Gaps took place 2 days back - although they wanted Sec 1 and 2 athletes to represent the CCA initially, it's Bo Yi and Ke Hui (Thanks!) who ultimately got roped in to help. (huh?? that's my reaction too.) The Sec 2s were likely to be more OK with this (since they were out for rock-climbing) while some of the Sec 1s seem more disappointed for one decent reason (My Primary School juniors came!) or another (not so decent reason ... which I shall not elaborate)

-> Parents-Teachers Meeting took place yesterday - met some of your parents/guardian/siblings - wondered how many of you are compulsory cases (i.e. not performing up to to expectation, behaving badly, etc)?? A small number hopefully! Anyway, please submit your report slip for us to make a copy.

Was talking to a student who's CCA-less currently, he made a remark .. something like "But I had a CCA till Sec 2, won't I get the CCA points and won't the teacher write something for me in the testimonial at the end of Sec 4 or 5?" To clarify, once your CCA attendance falls below 50% in a particular year, any points earned in previous years DO NOT count. For attendance below 75%, any points earned in that year do not count. [So it makes no sense to just join races and skip trainings] And pleaseEe ... if you had created much inconvenience for your CCA teachers ic (e.g. in chasing for attendance, reasons for absence, etc), the teacher will not have much nice things to say too.

So this is really to those who hasn't been attending CCA regularly, or comptemplating to drop a CCA (and not get another CCA and who's quite pleased with the extra time for gaming, play soccer, etc), make sure you are able to carry the consequences which come along with your irresponsible behaviour. Just to confirm, all of you shouldn't be with Cross-Country if CCA points is your only concern (uniform groups will earn you more points).

----------------

Year end holz is the best time to train intensively but the school and surrounding at this time of the year isn't the best place - O level (volume down), renovation and repair, roadworks outside (uneven paths and roads), rain ... Whatever it is, will still need to train with or without these restrictions (next year National competitions are pushed forward), please take extra care of yourself.

~ end of exams, mid of O level, start of holz ~
